Applicants from the Russian Federation are required to provide information about their work over the past 10 years
The Italian visa Application Center VMS in St. Petersburg obliged applicants from the Russian Federation to provide information about their work over the past 10 years with a digital signature. According to the data on the website of the visa operator, the original personal account statement with the balance and transactions for at least the last 3 months with the seal and signature of an authorized person, as well as “information about work provided from the Pension and Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation for the last 10 years, is accepted as a financial guarantee. The document must be accompanied by a digital signature.” Alternatively, you can issue a bank guarantee fidejussione bancaria or polizza fidejussoria (original plus photocopy) from the inviting party (private person). The amount in the name of the applicant is blocked on the inviting person’s bank account, the corresponding document is drawn up, which must be in the hands of the applicant in the original. As a rule, such a document is issued by large banks with a worldwide reputation, as well as insurance companies. If the applicant is unemployed or a student without a source of his own income, it is necessary to show sponsorship documents. Only the next of kin (parents, spouses, adult children) can act as sponsors. Only parents/legal guardians can sponsor minor children. Similar conditions were previously published by the Bulgarian visa operator. As noted on the VFS Global website, if the candidate for a visa is a pensioner, it is necessary to additionally provide a certificate from the pension fund, which will indicate the work activity over the past 10 years. The document must be signed with an electronic signature. VFS Global clarified that the decision was made by the European Commission on September 11, 2024 and applies to all pensioners from the Russian Federation, regardless of the purpose of the trip.
