Starting from July 1, tourists will need a QR code to enter the country.
Starting from July 1, the rules of entry to Cambodia change: all tourists are required to fill out the Cambodia e-Arrival Card 7 days before the planned date of travel. Tourists will be able to fill out an electronic form on the website or in an application that needs to be downloaded from this portal. “After that, tourists receive a QR code, which must be presented at the border crossing at the arrival airport,” the company said. Experts noted that tourists who have electronic visas or who wish to obtain visas at the airport upon arrival also necessarily fill out an arrival card either in the application or on the website and save the QR code. You can also print it out. “A mixed system will be in effect until July 1. After this date, tourists who do not have a QR code will not be allowed into the country,” the company stressed. At the same time, as ITM group noted, this system is already working in test mode, but the host companies have not yet made official statements about its introduction on a permanent basis for tourists. “At the moment, there is no official information that the system will completely replace the printed version of the immigration arrival/departure card,” the tour operator company said. In general, according to experts, nothing will change for tourists. It is not difficult to fill out the form, if desired, it can be done at the travel agency. The main thing is not to forget about the new rule, otherwise you will not be able to cross the border.
